Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels, was the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year and MVP runner-up. Trout, 21, is a 2009 Millville High School graduate who was a two-time Press Player of the Year and The Press Male Athlete of the Year for the 2008-09 school year.

Wednesday: Trout's string of reaching safely in 10 straight plate appearances ended with his first at bat in a 2-1 loss to Texas. In the game, he was 0-for-3 with a walk.

Today: The Angels host the Toronto Blue Jays at 10:05 p.m. Josh Johnson (1-7, 6.08 ERA) pitches for Toronto. Trout has never faced him.

Stats: Trout was hitting .329 with 66 RBIs and 73 runs scored in 105 games through Wednesdsay. He had 17 homers and 23 stolen bases. In his last seven games, he's 11-for-25 (.440).
