Trout at 22: Keeping historic company
Millville’s Mike Trout, shown Wednesday in Anaheim, Calif., is just the sixth player since 1900 to get at least 350 hits and 140 walks before turning 22. Mickey Mantle, Mel Ott, Al Kaline, Jimmie Foxx and Ken Griffey Jr. are the others.

Late Wednesday: Went 2-for-4, including a home run, with two RBIs and a run scored in a 10-3 loss to Texas.

Stats: Hitting .333 (145-for-436) with 22 home runs, 70 RBIs and 80 runs scored through 112 games. He has hit 32 doubles and eight triples, and he’s stolen 24 bases on 28 attempts. His on-base percentage is .424, his slugging percentage .580 and his OPS 1.005.
