MWR said it has not yet determined if a stand-by driver is needed for this weekend's race in Atlanta.

Truex finished 35th in Saturday's Bristol race after qualifying ninth. He led two laps and was consistently in the Top 10 until a multi-car accident with 55 laps to go.

After the race, Truex said in quotes provided by Michael Waltrip Racing that he was fine but "just disappointed."

"Honestly. I didn't see anything." Truex said about the crash. "It's just frustrating. We have a great car all night long. We ran toward the front all night, but we just didn't have enough gas to make it to the end there and had to pit.

"Once you get in the back (at Bristol) toward the end, they start wrecking and you're an innocent victim. I'm just frustrated right now because we have a good car and we didn't deserve that tonight."
