Nine Richard Stockton College women were named to New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Conference teams in six different events for the 2012-13 indoor track and field season Tuesday.

Laura Warren in the mile run, Stephanie Paluchowski in the 5,000 meters and Katie Jaeckel (Pinelands Regional) in the high jump all collected NJAC second-team spots by finishing second in their events at the NJAC Championships last week at the New York Armory.

Bree Hudik in the weight throw, Christina Lees in the pole vault and the distance medley relay team of Sam Merkh, Amanda Matthews, Francesca Jacobus and Barbara Prokopiuk all earned NJAC honorable mention for their third-place finishes.

Cumberland County College baseball: Cumberland beat visiting Atlantic Cape Community College 12-2 in seven innings in Vineland.

Tim Gallagher (Hammonton) went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for the Dukes (8-1), while teammate Vaughn Watson (Vineland) was 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI, anad Curtis Gift (Wildwood) went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs.

Winning pitcher Casey Carothers (Lower Cape May Regional) went four innings, gave up three hits and no runs, struck out three and walked one. Carothers is 2-0. Atlantic Cape's Rafael Gonzalez was the losing pitcher.

Gallagher was named the Garden State Athletic Conference Player of the Week after going 8-for-12 with seven RBIs in four Cumberland County wins on the weekend.
