OCEAN CITY - The Ocean City High School girls basketball team defeat Cape-Atlantic League National Division rival Middle Township 42-35 on Tuesday night.

Julia Duggan, who has committed to Division I Rider University, led the Red Raiders with 17 points and 13 rebounds. She hit a free throw to put Ocean City up by 9 points with a minute to play.

Ocean City, No. 4 in The Press Elite 11, is 8-1 on the season.

Middle Township's only lead of the game came in the third quarter when Lauryn Fields capped an 8-0 run with a 3-pointer. Fields led the Panthers, No. 9 in the Elite 11, with 14 points. Lauren Legler had 11 points.

Middle falls to 6-2 on the season.
