"They came together and played their best two games when it counted (6-2 over Hammonton on Tuesday, and Thursday's win). Hammonton beat us 4-1 (earlier in the tournament), but it was nice to see the girls rebound. They had some adversity but came out of the losers bracket and gained confidence."

Northfield's Mackenzie Brennan had three hits, including an RBI double. Northfield collected 12 hits, including two apiece by Brianna Barretta, Amanda Kinkler, winning pitcher Gillian McCarthy and Shannon Bennett.

Brennan and Bennett each had RBI doubles in the third inning as Northfield scored five runs.
