The Ocean City Nor'easters soccer team beat the host Westchester Flames (N.Y.) 4-3 on Saturday night. The score was tied at 3-3 at halftime, and Ocean City's Zoncher Dennis scored the winning goal on a breakaway 25 minutes into the second half, after a pass from Abe Keller.
Ocean City improved to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League. Westchester is 0-3-1, all in the PDL.
It was Ocean City's first game following a 2-1 loss to the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer on Tuesday in a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup third-round game in Chester, Pa.
Ocean City took a 3-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of the first half on goals by Tony Asante, Keler and Tyler Hilliard. Asante scored on a header in front after a corner kick by Keller. Keller's goal was a low shot after a pass from Markhus Lacroix. Hilliard scored off an assist by Dennis.
The Flames tied it before halftime with three goals.
Ocean City goalies Keasel Broome and Mike O'Keefe each played a half.
O'Keefe made a diving save in stoppage time to preserve the win.
