Ocean City's Renee Tomlin finished 15th out of 24 runners in the women's 1,500-meter semifinals at the U.S. Olympic Trials on Friday in Eugene, Ore.
The top 12 times advanced to the finals to be held on Sunday and televised on NBC.
Tomlin's time of 4 minutes, 11.38 seconds was less than a second behind the final qualifier, Brenda Martinez, who had the 12th fastest time in 4:10.73.
Morgan Uceny had the fastest time in 4:08.90.
Tomlin, a 2006 graduate of Ocean City High School, where she won the South Jersey Group III 800 and 1,600. She was a four-time All-American at Georgetown University and won seven Big East Conference titles.
