Day: 39

City: Laramie, Wyo.

Course played: Glenn "Red" Jacoby Golf Course (6,435 yards, par 71)

About the course: The course is home to the University of Wyoming team and is the longest course Scott has played on his trip. At 7,220 above sea level, it claims to have the highest altitude of any golf course in the country.

Playing partner: Scott played alone Friday.

Place he started and finished the day: Scott started his day in Laramie, Wyo.. After playing, he drove to Walsenburg, Colo., to spend the night.

Highlights: Scott said he was disappointed by the course's conditions. He said the greens were poor, the fairways were spotty and the scenery wasn't as pretty as some of the other courses he's played. Despite the conditions, Scott golfed his best round of the trip - an 89 - which included a birdie and two pars. When he birdied the 330-yard first hole, Scott said his shot for an eagle missed the hole by inches.

What's next: Scott planned to tee off today at Grandote Peaks Golf Club in La Veta, Colo. After his round, he will drive to Taos, N.M.
