The Bridgeton High School football team would like nothing better than another first-round upset. Last year, the sixth-seeded Bulldogs rallied from a 17-0 deficit to beat third-seeded Barnegat 18-17 in a South Jersey first-round game.

Tonight, sixth-seeded Bridgeton plays at third-seeded Cinnaminson in a S.J. Group II first-round game at 7 o'clock. Bridgeton comes into the playoffs with plenty of momentum. The Bulldogs have won three straight by an average margin of 42.6 points. Cinnaminson has won seven straight after a loss to Ewing (Mercer County).

Key players for Bridgeton: Ronald Williams, QB/DB, 44-of-83 for 652 yards and eight touchdowns; Stefon Bowman, RB, 111 carries for 826 yards and 14 touchdowns; Quasheem Taylor, RB/LB, 62 carries for 693 yards and 46 tackles - 11 for losses; Cappodonna Miller, WR/DB, 36 tackles and six interceptions.

Key players for Cinnaminson: Nick Thevanayagam, QB/DB; Brad Hawthorne, RB/DB; Aaron Ely, RB/DE.

Keys to victory: Bridgeton needs to continue what it has done during its three-game winning streak.

The Bulldogs have dominated behind the running of Bowman and Taylor, who combined to rush for 692 yards and 12 touchdowns the last three games. On defense, Bridgeton needs to focus on Thevanayagam, whose ability to run and throw makes him tough to defend.
