Roanoke College beat Richard Stockton College 2-1 in overtime in a nonconference men's soccer game at the Roanoke Invitational on Saturday night in Salem, Va.

The Ospreys fell to 1-1 for the season, having opened their season Friday with a 2-1 OT win over Lynchburg College. The loss Saturday ended a nine-game winning streak dating back to last season.

Chris Katona, a senior midfielder from Howell, scored the Ospreys' goal Saturday, giving them a 1-0 lead seven minutes into the match. He scored on a header of a rebound of an Anthony Colofranson shot that hit the post. Katona's goal was his second in two games.

The Ospreys' lead held up until Roanoke's Johnny Hughes scored to make it 1-1 at 55 minutes, 56 seconds.

Roanoke's Tyler Carbaugh scored 7 1/2 minutes into overtime. His game-winner was the only shot on goal by either team during OT.'

The Maroons (2-0) outshot the Ospreys 17-10 overall. Stockton goalkeeper Bob Millar made five saves.

Stockton is off until it hosts the Seashore Classic at G. Larry James Stadium this Friday and Saturday. Matchups for the first day will feature Stockton vs. Albright at 5 p.m., followed by William Paterson vs. Methodist at 7:30.
