The Richard Stockton College women's volleyball team remained undefeated in the New Jersey Athletic Conference with a 3-0 sweep of host Montclair State on Thursday.

The Ospreys improved to 7-0 after winning their last regular-season NJAC match. They went undefeated in the NJAC for the second straight year.

Stockton also extended its NJAC winning streak to 20 matches.

Sophomore Nicole Serekian led Stockton with 12 kills and senior Christine Velott recorded nine kills and seven digs. Tabitha Nejman (Our Lady of Mercy Academy) and Stephanie Warner each had five kills.

Montclair sophomore Alyssa Batiste (Southern Regional) had four kills and three service points.

The Ospreys (23-8) received the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye in the upcoming NJAC tournament. Next Thursday in the semifinals, they will host the winner of fourth-seeded Montclair (11-16) vs. fifth-seeded Rutgers-Camden (13-16).

Stockton field hockey: The Ospreys beat Mercy College 9-1, guaranteeing the first winning season in program history. Susie Balidemaj led Stockton (9-7) with two goals and two assists. Alicia Leadbeater had two goals and one assist. Sophomore Janice Dutko and freshmen Sierra Chambers and Cassie Kirk each scored their first goal of the season.
