Rutgers junior All-America cornerback Logan Ryan, a Berlin resident and Eastern High School graduate, has elected to forego his final year of eligibility and enter the 2013 NFL Draft.

Ryan is the fifth player since 2008 at Rutgers to leave school early and enter the NFL Draft.

"Logan embodies everything we look for when recruiting a potential student-athlete," Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood said in a statement. "He is a smart, tough, disciplined player with a tremendous work ethic and talent. He has represented our program in first class fashion and we know he will continue to excel when playing on Sundays."

Ryan was a two-time All-Big East selection in his career and earned All-America honors in 2012 by Pro Football Weekly (First Team) and Phil Steele (Fourth Team).

A two-year starter at cornerback, Ryan finished second on the team with 94 tackles. A Jim Thorpe Award semifinalist, Ryan is the only player in the nation with at least 90 tackles, four interceptions and 18 passes defended.
