Rutgers and Washington State have agreed to a  home-and-home football series beginning in 2014, the two schools announced today.

Rutgers will play its first game as a member of the Big Ten on Friday, Aug. 29 against the Cougars at CenturyLink Field in Seattle.

The two schools have never met on the football field and Rutgers is 0-4 all-time against Pac-12 schools. The Scarlet Knights also have an upcoming home-and-home series with Pac-12 member UCLA in 2016 and 2017.

Washington State returns to Piscataway on Sept. 12, 2015 at High Point Solutions Stadium. The two-game series versus the Cougars completes Rutgers’ 2014 and 2015 football schedules.
