Tori Sittineri and Taylor Franchville each had two hits to help Middle Township High School beat Absegami 6-5 in a Cape-Atlantic League inter-conference softball game Friday.

Sittineri struck out two for her sixth win of the season.

Absegami freshman Rebecca Roesch went 2-for-4, including a double, with an RBI.

Oakcrest's Sam Liepe threw a perfect game, striking out nine in the four-inning contest.

Liepe also had a three-run triple and scored three runs.

Jessica Liepe went 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBIs, and Emily Brown went 3-for-4 with three runs scored. Logan Day, Christina Crenny and Maddie Cruz each had two hits.

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fifth inning. Atlantic County Institute of Technology's Quinn Crescenzo drove in Gianna Palermo to make it 1-0.

Mainland tied the game in the top of the sixth before erupting for seven runs in the top of the seventh to pull away from ACIT.

Shea Scannell, who doubled in the game, scored the go-ahead run to make it 2-1.

Ashlee Moran, who was the winning pitcher, and Sam Mortin had three hits each for the Mustangs.
