The Houston Texans re-signed tight end and Southern Regional High School graduate Clark Harris on Wednesday. Harris was the team's long snapper for the final four games of 2008 but was cut in training camp this season.

The signing was done as a precaution with the team's current long snapper and backup tight end Joel Dreessen complaining of a sore hip.

Harris played tight end for Rutgers University and was drafted in the seventh round by the Green Bay Packers in 2007. He's also had brief stints on the Detroit Lions practice squad.
