STAFFORD TOWNSHIP - Cody Smead made sure host Southern Regional High School didn't leave its own tournament without a champion Saturday.

Smead, who did not wrestle last season, won a 3-2 decision against Barnegat's Zack Andrews to win the 285-pound title at the Robin Leff Invitational.

"It was good," Smead said. "But it's just a little brownie on the way to a lot of candy."
