The St. Augustine Prep ice hockey team advanced to the semifinals of the state Non-Public playoffs with a 6-2 upset win over second-seeded Don Bosco on Friday night in Wayne.

Tyler Wyatt scored a hat trick for the Hermits, who are the seventh seed in the 20-team playoff field. Wyatt also added an assist.

Samuel Fitzpatrick made 41 saves for the Hermits.

On Wednesday at the Mennen Arena in Morristown, the Hermits will play the winner of Monday's game between No. 3 Christian Brothers Academy and No. 11 St. Joseph Metuchen. If the Hermits win, they would play in the title game March 9 at the Prudential Center in Newark.
