The Richard Stockton College women's tennis and field hockey teams begin the season at home today, while the Ospreys' men's and women's soccer teams and the women's volleyball team each begin today on the road.

The Stockton women's volleyball team, the five-time defending New Jersey Athletic Conference champion, plays two matches today at the SUNY-Cortland Tournament in Cortland, N.Y.

The Ospreys are No. 1 in the NJAC coaches preseason poll, and received first-place votes from all nine coaches.

The volleyball team plays Clarkson (N.Y.) at 5 p.m. and meets Buffalo State (N.Y.) at 7 p.m. The Ospreys play Nazareth College (11 a.m.) and Mount Union College (1:30 p.m.) at the Cortland event Saturday.

The Ospreys' women's tennis team hosts Cabrini College (Pa.) at 4 p.m.

The Stockton field hockey team, ranked fourth in the NJAC coaches preseason poll, hosts Arcadia University (Pa.) at 7 p.m.

In men's soccer, Stockton, fourth-ranked in the NJAC poll, begins the season at the Roanoke Tournament in Salem, Va. The Ospreys play Lynchburg College (Va.) at 5 p.m. today and meet host Roanoke College at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Stockton women's team, also No. 4 in the NJAC poll, plays in the Kean Tournament today and Saturday in Union. The Ospreys open the season against SUNY-Oneonta at 5 p.m. today and play Ithaca (N.Y.) at 3 p.m. Saturday.

The men's and women's cross country teams will also host a meet vs. alumni and friends at 4:30 p.m. today.
