Richard Stockton College’s Josh Blamon, Rameel Johnson, Rich Suhr and James Williams each scored 13 points as the Ospreys men’s basketball team beat host Rowan University 75-72 Wednesday in the final regular season game.

Stockton is the top seed in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament, which begins on Saturday. The Ospreys improved to 21-4 overall and 15-3 NJAC. Rowan ended the season at 12-13 overall and 7-11 in the conference.

Jason Sofman hit two free throws for the Profs to cut Stockton’s lead to 71-69 with 1 minute, 48 seconds left, but the Ospreys clinched the win by making 4-of-5 free throws in the final minute.

Blamon and Johnson each had six rebounds. Nnamdi Usuwa added 10 points. For Rowan, Rich McNamara led with 26 points. Tim McDaniels and Sofman had 15 and 14 points, respectively.

Stockton will host the winner of the game between No. 4 seed Kean (13-12) and No. 5 seed New Jersey City on Wednesday in the semifinals.

The championship will be at the highest remaining seed on Saturday, March 1.
