The Richard Stockton College women’s basketball team held on to beat Kean University 82-76 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game in Union.

The Ospreys (9-5, 4-4 NJAC) had six players in double figures, led by Alex Nardoza, who scored 24 points. Nardoza shot 8-for-14 from the field and hit 8-of-9 at the line. Freshman Ta’Yon Morgan-Jones (Atlantic City) added 13 points and 12 rebounds, and Alexa Ryan had 13 points and four assists. Jennifer Galamb scored 12 points, and Sara Farrell (11 rebounds, four assists) and Che’Na Thompson each had 10 points.

Erika Jones scored 44 points for the Cougars (3-12).

Stockton men’s basketball: Kean University beat the visiting Ospreys 54-48 in Union. Stockton produced its lowest point total of the season. Kevin Johnson, the only Osprey in double figures, scored 10 points. Josh Blamon added nine points and seven rebounds. Kean’s Michael Burton scored 17 points and Kyle Latorre had 14.

Stockton dropped to 11-4 and 7-3 NJAC. Kean is 6-10 overall and 5-5 in the conference.

Stockton led the entire first half and was up 28-23 at halftime. The second half had nine lead changes, but Kean scored the last seven points of the game to win it.
