Nationally ranked Rowan University beat Richard Stockton College 10-2 Thursday in the New Jersey Athletic Conference baseball opener for both teams.

The Ospreys (10-7, 0-1) got 11 hits - all over them after the third inning - but left 13 men on base.

Ranked No. 10 by D3baseball.com, Rowan (12-3, 1-0) built a 6-0 lead through the second inning.

Freshman Kevin Buell, one of six Stockton pitchers, worked two scoreless innings in relief, allowing one hit.

The teams face each other again today at 3:30 p.m. in Glassboro.
