Why this game is special: This is Atlantic County's oldest rivalry with the first meeting in 1926. It is also one of Thursday's most anticipated games as Atlantic City is No. 7 in The Press Elite 11 and Holy Spirit is No. 10. Both teams also are still pursuing championships. Spirit has won seven straight and eight of the nine games in this series.

Atlantic City update: The Vikings have one of the region's top offenses with quarterback Jarren McBryde (95-of-150 for 1,782 yards and 17 touchdowns) and wide receiver Dayshawn Reynolds (37 catches for 812 yards and seven touchdowns).

The Vikings play Williamstown in a South Jersey Group V semifinal on Nov. 30.

Holy Spirit update: The Spartans feature one of the region's best defenses with linebacker Jeff Steeb and defensive back A.J. Dawson. Spirit has three shutouts and has allowed a touchdown or less in six of nine games. The Spartans host Pingry in a state Non-Public II quarterfinal on Nov. 30.
