The Bridgeton and Buena Regional high school football teams traveled the same path for the season's first four games.

Tonight they head in different directions.

Bridgeton (3-1) plays at Buena (3-1) at 7 p.m. in a matchup of South Jersey Group II playoff contenders. Both teams started the season 3-0. Both lost last week.

Tonight's winner establishes itself as a legitimate playoff contender. The loser will have to scramble to make the postseason.

This weekend doesn't feature many games because many teams are on their bye.

Here is a preview of Bridgeton vs. Buena and the rest of the schedule.

This game was originally scheduled to be played at Holy Spirit, but the Spartans' field is unplayable so it was moved Friday morning to Absegami.

LaFragola (42 carries for 295 yards and four touchdowns) and Cody Sampson (29 carries for 242 yards and five touchdowns) spark the St. Joe offense. Defensive back Brandon Roberson leads the Falcons defense with 241/2 tackles.

West Jersey Football League

Cumberland Regional (1-3) at Camden (3-0)

7 p.m. today

Camden is No. 11 in The Press Elite 11. The game marks the debut of Camden's artificial grass field at Farnham Park. Cumberland has struggled to find the end zone with just nine points in three games.

Wildwood (2-2) at Salem (1-2)

11 a.m. Saturday

Wildwood nearly didn't field a team because of a lack of players in the preseason. Now, the Warriors are 2-2 after last Friday's 38-14 win over Maple Shade. David Flanders ran for two touchdowns in the victory. The Wildwood defense forced Maple Shade into five turnovers.
