The impending arrival of Tropical Storm/Hurricane Sandy kept some Eagles fans from going to the game. Although the parking lots were jammed as usual, the stands weren't as crowded. Even more fans left after the Falcons took a 21-7 lead.

The Eagles were still in the game when McCoy's 2-yard touchdown run in the second quarter cut the Falcons' lead to 14-7. Atlanta promptly regained control on Ryan's 63-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Julio Jones.
Eagles' best play
Wide receiver DeSean Jackson beat former teammate Asante Samuel for a nice gain in the third quarter. Jackson caught a short pass, spun and twisted away from Samuel and sprinted upfield for a 32-yard gain.
Eagles' worst play
Jones raced past Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha and Ryan hit Jones in stride for that 63-yard touchdown in the second quarter.
