ATLANTIC CITY - Max Novak scored two goals, Troy Grosenick stopped 32 of the 33 shots he faced and Union College won its second consecutive ECAC Hockey men's championship with a 3-1 win over Brown on Saturday night at Boardwalk Hall.

Daniel Carr also scored for Union (21-12-5), which was seeded fourth. Dennis Robertson scored for seventh-seeded Brown (16-14-6).

The Dutchmen, who reached the NCAA Frozen Four after winning last year's ECAC title at the Hall, outscored Brown and Yale 8-1 in the final and semifinal.

This was the third and final year - for now - that the ECAC held its semifinals and final at the Hall. Next season it will move to Lake Placid, N.Y.
