Veterans Golfers Assocation North Region Qualifier

Jason Perry won the Veterans Flight A championship at Veterans Golf Association North Super Region Championship on Sunday.

Perry shot a 70-74-144 on the par-71 Bay Course at Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in Galloway Township to win the flight by 19 shots.

The VGA began in 2014 and its mission is to promote golf to veterans and their families.

The two-day tournament at Seaview featured 78 golfers, who competed in various categories and flights. The event was one of four regional qualifiers being held around the country this month. Twenty golfers advanced from Seaview to the VGA National Championship on Oct. 10-11 at Fallen Oak Golf Club in Saucier, Mississippi.
