Andrei Arlovski's first fight at Revel Casino-Hotel did not go so well.

The former UFC heavyweight champion suffered a broken jaw during a three-round, unanimous decision loss to Anthony Johnson at the World Series of Fighting's first card in Atlantic City on March 23.

He's hoping for a much better result tonight when he faces Mike Kyle in the main event of WSOF's second card at Revel's Ovation Hall.

"I'm very excited about this fight," Arlovski said in quotes provided by WSOF. "I've been training hard, even during the six weeks when my jaw was wired shut. Mike Kyle is a good match for me."

Arlovski (19-10) showed his determination against Johnson. He fractured his jaw at the end of the first round, but still went the distance.

Johnson (16-3) was scheduled to face Kyle (20-9-1) tonight, but was forced to pull out with an injury a month ago.

Kyle is making his WSOF debut. A former Strikeforce competitor, he is coming off a 21-second knockout over Travis Wiuff on a Championship Fighting Alliance card on May 24.

"This is one of my biggest opportunities," Kyle said in quotes provided by WSOF. "I feel great. I'm starting to feel comfortable in the ring again. I'm really excited to go out there and perform and put on the show that I'm capable of doing."

Nine other additional bouts are scheduled. Arlovski-Kyle is among five fights that will be shown on NBC Sports Network, starting at 9 p.m. The five prelims start at 6:30 p.m. and can be seen on

Doors to Ovation Hall open at 6 p.m. Tickets start at $29 and are available through Ticketmaster and at the Revel box office.

In addition, UFC legend Dan Severn will hold a public workout at 10 a.m. today in Revel's SkyGarden, plus a meet-and-greet with fans at 2 p.m. in the vestibule outside Lugo Italian restaurant.
