The Greater Wildwood 11-12 softball team defeated host Lower Township 22-1 in four innings in a District 16 second-round game on Monday.

Winning pitcher Maddie Hamlin went two innings and gave up one hit, with three strikeouts. Reliever Grace Fox worked the final two innings, allowing three hits with one strikeout. Hamlin had three hits and a walk, while teammate Annamae Peterson and Paige Fox, Grace's sister, each had three hits. Carolann Marsden added two hits and a walk, and Danielle DeRitis had two bunt singles.

Lower Township scored when Jillian Paluch reached on error, stole second and scored on Haley Brown's single.

Greater Wildwood will play at 5:30 p.m. Friday in Upper Township.
