The Atlantic City High School boys basketball team and Ocean City girls basketball team each secured the No. 1 seed in their respective playoff brackets.

The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association met Thursday to determine seeding. Seventeen boys and 20 girls teams qualified for the state tournament.

The Atlantic City boys, No. 1 in The Press Elite 11, earned the top seed in South Jersey Group IV and hosts Toms River South in an opening-round game. Meanwhile, the Red Raiders, No. 3 in the girls basketball Elite 11, will host Hammonton in the first round of the South Jersey Group III tournament.

Postseason action begins Feb. 26. Pairings will be officially released at noon today.
