Jahleem Montague scored 16 of his team-high 20 points in the third quarter as top-seeded Atlantic City High School pulled away to beat No. 8 Egg Harbor Township 68-55 in a Cape-Atlantic League boys basketball tournament quarterfinal game Friday.

Atlantic City had jumped to a 22-4 lead, but EHT's Khari Harley scored 16 of his game-high 32 points in the second quarter to bring the Eagles within five at the half.

Atlantic City was 9-for-15 from the foul line in the fourth to close out the win. Dejza Chase was 6-for-8 from the line in the fourth.

Ga'Briel Chandler scored 10 points for Atlantic City, ranked No. 1 in The Press Elite 11.

"I didn't think we played that well, but we played well enough to win," Atlantic City coach Gene Allen said in a phone interview. "We turned the ball over too much."

The Vikings will face fifth-seeded Holy Spirit in a semifinal Tuesday at Hammonton. Atlantic City held off several late rallies by the Spartans in a 54-47 win Tuesday to clinch the CAL American Conference title.

"It should be a good one," Allen said. "I'm looking forward to it."

Mike Greenman scored 16 points to lead the third-seeded Hermits, who ended the third quarter on a 15-5 run to extend their lead to 15 points.

Mike Vasturia and Blake Rossell each added 10 points for the Prep.

St. Augustine, No. 9 in the Press Elite 11, will face second-seeded Middle Township, No. 8 in the Elite 11, in a semifinal Tuesday at Hammonton.

The win put Prep coach Paul Rodio in sole possession of third place on the all-time state wins list with 778.

For Hammonton, Christian Mortellite scored a team-high 15 points.

The Panthers move on to face third-seeded St. Augustine Prep on Tuesday in a semifinal at Hammonton. Middle split its season series with the Hermits, No. 9 in the Elite 11.

For Sacred Heart, Chris Burch had 13 points.
