Vineland High School junior guard Eddie Thomas hit two free throws with 15 seconds left in overtime to give the Fighting Clan a 55-54 Cape-Atlantic League boys basketball win over visiting Absegami on Thursday.

Thomas led Vineland with 21 points and had 14 rebounds.

Vineland sank 5-of-6 foul shots in overtime. Thomas also made two foul shots with five seconds left in regulation to tie it 48-48. An Absegami shot at the regulation buzzer was off the mark.

Kevin Ellis scored 15 points for Vineland, and Charlie Ware and Manny Colvin had eight apiece. Darryl Loveland led Absegami with 12 points, and Justin Rice and Jaleel Christmon each had 11.
