The Wildwood Catholic High School boys basketball team beat Wildwood 57-51 double overtime in the Andrew Alameno Boys Island Championship game Saturday at the Boardwalk Basketball Classic at Wildwoods Cenvention Center in Wildwood.

The game was tied at 48-48 in the second overtime but Wildwood Catholic's Eddie McWade hit 3-of-4 free throws in two trips to the line, and teammate Jordan Robertson added a field goal. Garrett Morretti made two foul shots to put the Crusaders up 55-48.

McWade led Wildwood Catholic with 16 points, four assists and 11 rebounds. George Cook scored 14 points, and Robertson and Morretti had 10 points apiece. Wildwood's Francis Christian led all scorers with 22 points and had nine rebounds. Dave Flanders added eight points and Wesley Hills had 12 rebounds.

Atlantic Christian's Austin Walker scored 27 points, and teammates Vincent Davis and Vassil Stoimenov added 15 points apiece. Stoimenov had a game-high nine rebounds. Jordan Vargas had nine points, four assists and six steals for the Cougars.

Lamar Morgan led Burlington County Tech with 27 points and eight rebounds, Awwal Reid had 18 points and seven rebounds.

The host Rams outscored Allentown 34-12 in the first half and cruised to the win. Mike Gesicki led Southern with 22 points, including 18 in the first half. Zach Policastro and Anthony Romanoff added nine and eight points, respectively, for the winners.

Southern plays Hammonton at 4 p.m. Dec. 27 at Southern in the next round.
