Mandy Buirch scored five points in overtime as Sacred Heart came from behind and beat St. Joseph 52-47 in a Cape-Atlantic League United Conference girls basketball game Thursday.

St. Joseph had the lead until the last 40 seconds of the game.

Sacred Heart scored five points from the foul line in overtime to give it the edge over the Wildcats.

Kennedy Johnson led all scorers with 21 points for Sacred Heart. Buirch had 18 points, while Ciani Carter added 13.

Dana DiRenzo led St. Joe with 12 points and Shannon Metzler scored 11.

Middle Township, No. 9 in The Press Elite 11, held Atlantic City to four fourth-quarter points to pull away for the win.

Lauryn Fields led the Panthers with 26 points, including four 3-pointers, and four assists. Holly McKaig grabbed 10 rebounds, while Lauren Legler and Olivia Schwartz provided seven and five points, respectively.

For Atlantic City, Alexis Harris led with 11 points. The Vikings were 12-for-14 from the foul line.
