PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Kristine Miller, Cedar Creek, Jr., 6-0, F

Averaged 23.3 points and 9.3 rebounds in the postseason to lead Cedar Creek to the state Group I championship in the program’s second varsity season. A 1,000-point scorer, Miller had a season average of 18.0 points per game.

First team

Julia Duggan, Ocean City, Jr., 6-2, C

An NCAA Division I prospect. The area’s toughest post player averaged 16.9 points and 10.2 rebounds. Led the Red Raiders to the Cape-Atlantic League title game and the South Jersey Group III semifinals.

Brittany Harden, Sacred Heart, Sr., 5-6, G

Led the Lions in scoring (11.9 ppg) as Sacred Heart won its first CAL championship in school history. Added 58 assists and 22 blocked shots. Will attend Rowan University and plans to play basketball.

Sahara Lopez, Atlantic City, Jr., 5-6, G

One of the region’s quickest point guards. Averaged 12.8 points, 2.1 steals, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists. Led Atlantic City to the South Jersey Group IV quarterfinal.

Shereesha Richards, Atlantic Christian, Sr., 6-2, C

Finished with 2,081 career points in three seasons. Averaged 24 points, 13 rebounds and 6.5 steals per game. Will play for the University at Albany next year.

Second team

Lexi Bruno, Sacred Heart, So., 5-2, G

Averaged 10.8 points, 6.8 assists and 3.5 steals. Helped the Lions win the CAL title and reach the South Jersey Non-Public B semifinals.

Reilly Larkin, Ocean City, Sr., 5-7, G

An accurate perimeter shooter who averaged 10.9 points and sank 51 3-pointers. One of the area’s best defenders.

Kristina Startare, Middle Township, Sr., 5-9, F/G

A floor leader who had seven points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals when the Panthers won the South Jersey Group II championship for the first time in 17 years.

Tay Tay Loatman, Sacred Heart, Jr., 5-8, Sr., F

Averaged 9.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals and was a key defensive player for the Lions.

Summer Crilley, Holy Spirit, So., 5-7, G

Scored 11.7 points per game and was a floor leader for the Spartans as they reached the South Jersey Non-Public A semifinals.
