Absegami 26, Ocean City 7

The Braves pulled away in the second half behind the running of Ben Martin and kept their South Jersey Group IV playoff hopes alive.

Martin scored on runs of 8-, 31- and 10-yards in the second half. Ocean City led 7-6 at halftime. The Red Raiders took the lead on a 22-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Chris Curran to wide receiver Andrew Fiorentino in the second quarter.

Absegami (4-3) has won two straight. The Braves play at Mainland Regional (4-3) Friday. The winner has a chance at the playoffs. All three of the Braves' losses are to undefeated teams.

Curran nearly set a record for the longest field goal in CAL history. He missed a 51-yard attempt by 2 yards. Josh Grande set up Ocean City's touchdown with an interception, his fifth of the season.
