Sophomore quarterback Cinjun Erskine threw a 30-yard pass to Pat Moran to set up the Bengals inside the 1-yard line late in the second quarter. Erksine ran the ball in for the first touchdown in his debut game.

Central answered early in the second half with a screen pass to Matt Bowen, who ran the ball 43 yards for the touchdown, giving the Golden Eagles a 7-6 lead.

After three consecutive running plays by Ed Santiago, Pat Moran kicked a 31-yard field goal to give Barnegat the lead in the third quarter.

Santiago ran the ball 5 yards into the end zone late in the fourth to clinch the win.

The Benagls improved to 3-1 in the conference and kept their shot at the B South title alive.
