Barnegat High School came from behind to win its first football game of the season with a 16-14 victory over host Central Regional in a Shore Conference B-South contest.
Both teams were scoreless in the second half until Barnegat quarterback Mark McCoy found Pat Moran for a 46-yard touchdown pass seconds into the fourth quarter.
Moran missed the extra point, leaving Barnegat trailing by one point.
The Bengals' defense forced a fumble, leading to Moran's second career game-winning field goal with 8 minutes, 3 seconds left. Moran hit from 32 yards out.
Barnegat's defense held up for the remainder of the quarter.
The performance was capped by McCoy's last minute interception at midfield.
Senior Jordan Salt caught a receiving touchdown early in the first quarter for Barnegat's first score of the game.
Central running back Kalyph Hardy rushed for more than 100 yards, including a first-quarter touchdown.
