Quarterback Mark McCoy paced Barnegat's offense as the Bengals stayed in contention for the Shore Conference B South title with an overtime win over Brick Township.
McCoy connected with Pat Moran twice and also ran for two touchdowns, including the game-winner on a 2-yard run in overtime. McCoy now has six passing touchdowns for the season.
Brick tied the game with 1 minute, 19 seconds to play after Doug Cuccinello scored on a 1-yard run. Prior to the play, the Brick Township offense produced a 50-yard drive to get to the goal line.
Brick, Barnegat and Central Regional all had one division loss going into the week. Central visits Lacey Township today in another division matchup. The division title may be determined on that game. The Bengals' last division game is against Pinelands Regional (0-6) on Thanksgiving.
