Dustin Thomas completed eight passes for 218 yards and three touchdowns, setting a new Cape-Atlantic League record for career passing yards in St. Augustine Prep's 35-0 win over Middle Township on Friday.

Thomas moves ahead of Middle Township's Nolan Quinn, who set the record last week. Quinn threw for 62 yards Friday. The record could continue to change hands as the two go back-and-forth all season. Thomas now has 5,044 yards to Quinn's 4,894.

Thomas also has 63 touchdowns, one short of the South Jersey record of 64, which was set by 2007 Holy Cross graduate Tommy Reilly.

Darnell Laws had two touchdowns for St. Augustine, No. 3 in The Press' Elite 11. Greg Tobias ran for 62 yards on four carries. John Barillo caught a 63-yard touchdown pass and Stephen Dombrowski a 59-yarder.

Middle's Charles Cooper had three catches for 54 yards.
