Why this game is important: These teams seem to always play the most entertaining game of the day. The 2004 and 2006 games went to overtime. Mainland scored in the final minute to beat EHT in 2008. The winner gets the Kiwanis Trophy. Mainland won 17-0 last year and leads the series 17-10-1.

Mainland update: The Mustangs ended a two-game losing streak with a 31-13 win over Seneca in a Nov. 11 consolation game. Chris Kaczmarski leads Mainland with 347 rushing yards. Quarterback Tom Bradway has thrown for 386 yards and four touchdowns.

Mustangs kicker Jim Cooper leads the Cape-Atlantic League with six field goals.

Egg Harbor Township update: The Eagles are trying to avoid their first losing season since 2006. EHT quarterback Ken Doughty has thrown four touchdown passes.

The EHT defense has allowed just five touchdown passes all season.
