Southern Regional faces no ordinary quarterback in Brian Keller of Triton.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder will be one of the biggest players on the field and also plays defensive end.

"That's an unusual combination," Southern coach Chuck Donohue said.

Keller can run and pass. Southern will counter Keller and Triton with a diversified offense. Southern quarterback Dan Higgins (above) has thrown for 1,125 yards, while Rams running back T.J. Bellissimo has rushed for 967 yards.

Triton will be without running back Josh Woods (899 rushing yards) who is out with a knee injury. Triton played just one South Jersey Group IV school all season. The Mustangs lost to Pennsauken 33-13 on Sept. 24.

Key players for Triton: Brian Keller, QB/DE, 36-of-81 for 516 yards and five touchdowns and 92 carries for 560 yards. On defense, 42 tackles and 6 sacks; Jim Burns, RB/DB, 58 carries for 399 yards; Isaiah Baylor, LB, 48 tackles, six sacks; Dan Beckier, LB, 90 tackles.

Key players for Southern Regional: Dan Higgins, QB, 87-of-156 for 1,125 yards and 12 touchdowns; T.J. Bellissimo, RB, 234 carries for 967 yards and 16 touchdowns; Mike Gesicki, WR, 16 catches for 276 yards; Kevin Barreau, 14 catches for 247 yards; Alec Morris, WR/DB, 35 catches for 416 yards; Jackman Bush, LB, 51 tackles and three interceptions; Nick Munafo, LB, 47 tackles.

Keys to victory: Southern needs to shut down Triton's running game. Southern can boost its chances with some early scores to discourage Triton's upset hopes.
