Bridgeton High School running back Kevin Bunton ran for one touchdown and caught another Saturday to lead the visiting Bulldogs to a 13-0 nonleague football win over host Kittatinny Regional (Sussex County).
Following a scoreless first quarter, Bunton ran 78 yards to score early in the second quarter. With 1 minute, 40 seconds left before halftime, Bunton caught a 45-yard touchdown pass over the middle from quarterback Tamar Jackson.
Bridgeton's defense came up big twice with Kittatinny threatening. Cornerback Marquan Russel intercepted a pass in the end zone, and linebacker Lavon Hall made a tackle for a loss on a fourth-and-3 inside the Bridgeton 20-yard line. Also, linebacker Tyler Haydak recovered a fumble.
