Mike Dolan scored on a 1-yard run on Absegami High School's first possession in overtime to edge Mainland Regional 14-7 in a Cape-Atlantic American Conference football game Friday night in Galloway Township.

Mainland's Colin O'Shea scored in the second quarter on a 14-yard run to give Mainland the lead at the half.

Tyler Bing ran the ball 6 yards into the end zone to tie the game in the fourth.

Bridgeton running back Stefon Bowman had 18 rushes for 111 yards and a 44-yard touchdown. He also had an interception.

Quasheem Taylor added two touchdowns for the Bulldogs, one on a 2-yard carry and one on a 17-yard run. Cappadonna Miller recovered a fumble and returned it 13 yards for another Bridgeton touchdown.

Nazir Williams caught three passes for 27 yards and quarterback Ronald Williams was 5-for-8 for 39 yards.

Ocean City's Frank Woolley scored two touchdowns. He rushed for 148 yards.

Barnegat rallied late with two passing touchdowns, a 7-yarder to Pat Moran and a 20-yarder to Matt Knierim from quarterback Ricky Gerena.

But after cutting the deficit to three, Monsignor Donovan recovered an onside kick to seal the win.

Barnegat scored first when Gerena found Ryan Ulrich on a 21-yard pass in the first quarter. But the Bengals gave up 21 points in the fourth quarter and couldn't recover in the Shore Conference B South game.

A 27-yard field goal early in the fourth was the deciding factor in the game.

Barnegat dropped to 1-2.

Toms River North stopped a late drive by Southern Regional for the upset in the Shore Conference A South game. Chris Gulla kicked a game-winning 45-yard field goal for the Mariners.

Southern, No. 7 in the Elite 11, threatened in the final minutes, but a fumble on the snap ended the Rams' chances of a comeback.

The Rams, the No. 7 team in the Press Elite 11, got on the board with 44 seconds left in the first quarter when Rob Yaiser ran for a 1-yard score.

Both teams were scoreless in the second.

The Mariners offense came alive in the third, when Joey Fields scored on a 37-yard punt return and Kyle Carrington caught an 8-yard pass from quarterback Carmen Sclafani.

Southern tied the game on a 3-yard run by Abe Gonzalez in the fourth.

Kyle Spatz had a huge game for Lacey with 204 yards rushing and three touchdowns on 23 carries. Quarterback Tom Kelly scored a rushing touchdown and threw a 35-yard pass to Christian Tutela to set up Spatz's third touchdown in the fourth.

Chris Jensen also had a rushing touchdown for Lacey. Bill Belford had a 90-yard interception return to cap off the scoring for the undefeated Lions.

Wildwood's Wesley Hills had 25 carries and rushed for 254 yards and two touchdowns. Hills scored on 77- and 66-yard runs. Meanwhile, Warriors quarterback Devon Bradshaw added two more touchdowns - one on a 1-yard sneak and another on a 69-yard run.

Wildwood tied the game 20-20 early in the third but Pennsville outscored the Warriors 27-8 through the remainder of the game. The loss was Wildwood's first of the season.

Pennsville's Eric Bundy had four touchdowns, three rushing and one passing.

The Colts' defense survived a late rally by Bishop Eustace. The Crusaders scored on a 1-yard run by quarterback Connor Bor in the fourth quarter. Bishop Eustace had a chance to win the game before Cumberland's Eddie Williams intercepted a pass with 14 seconds remaining.
