Why this game is important: Both these schools are members of the Greater Egg Harbor School District. Oakcrest won last year 14-13 to even the series at 17 games apiece.

The winner receives the Joe Mohr trophy. The late Mohr was the longtime athletic director at Oakcrest and also was athletic director of the now defunct Egg Harbor City High School.

Absegami update: The Braves come off a 34-20 loss at Cherokee in a Nov. 11 consolation game. Absegami has played the last four games without quarterback Rashad Kinlaw, who is out with a broken tibia.

Tyler Bing sparks the offense with 611 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.

Oakcrest update: A win would give the Falcons their second straight winning season. Oakcrest lost to Moorestown 34-7 in a South Jersey Group III quarterfinal on Nov. 7.

Before that game, Oakcrest had shut out four straight opponents.

Oakcrest linebacker Brandon Bell has made 108 tackles - 18 of them for a loss.
