Lacey Township gets 4th straight shutout

Jake Dabal ran for three touchdowns to lead Lacey Township High School to its fifth straight win and fourth consecutive shutout, a 40-0 win over Middletown North in a Shore Conference football game Friday.

Dabal scored on 30-, 40- and 80-yard runs.

The Lions (5-2) scored twice on fumble returns. Dave Viera scored on a 90-yard return in the first quarter, and Brian Mykoliw took the ball 50 yards in the fourth quarter.

Rob Honeycutt caught a 10-yard TD pass from Lacey quarterback Craig Cicardo in the second quarter.

Lacey's defense has held opponents scoreless for 17 quarters. The Lions have become a South Jersey Group III contender after an 0-2 start to the season.
