Lacey Township keeps playoff hopes alive with win over Toms River East

The Lacey Township High School football team had a big fourth quarter and kept its playoff chances alive as the Lions scored four straight times to beat Toms River East 28-7 in a Shore Conference football game Saturday afternoon.

Running back Kyle Spatz led Lacey with 170 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Tom Kelly had two passing touchdowns, including a 63-yard pass to Jordan Powell, and a rushing touchdown. Joseph Detroia caught the first touchdown pass in the third quarter for the Lions.

Jerry Caporale had a 37-yard touchdown run in the first quarter for Toms River East.
