Lower Cape May Regional rallied from a seven-point, first-quarter deficit, scoring 18 unanswered points to defeat Bridgeton 21-10 in a Cape-Atlantic League United Division football game Friday night.

Lower won the game with defense, racking up seven sacks, including two each from Nick Nuscia and Frankie Ziegler.

Jimmy Hall and Vance Matthews each returned an interception for touchdowns.

Mike Mulligan started the scoring for the Caper Tigers, connecting on a 24-yard field goal in the first quarter. Bridgeton (2-3) answered with a 55-yard touchdown run from Tamar Jackson followed by a 27-yard field goal from Jae DeShields that put the Bulldogs up 10-3.

After Hall's 47-yard return for a score, Mulligan connected with Chris Alicea for a 14-yard touchdown and gave Lower a lead that it would not give up.

Matthews' 45-yard return for a touchdown put the game away in the fourth.

Jimmy Hall rushed 16 times for 101 yards in the win.
