Mainland scored 23 unanswered points, capped by senior Richard Kugel's 90-yard interception return for a touchdown in the final minute to seal it.

The Mustangs trailed 7-0 at halftime but tied it on Dashown Waller's 19-yard touchdown run.

Jim Cooper kicked a 28-yard field goal to put Mainland ahead in the fourth quarter. Chris Kaczmarski's 8-yard touchdown run following an interception made it 17-7 before Kugel's score.

Bridgeton took a 7-0 lead in the second quarter when quarterback Tamar Jackson connected with Jae DeShields for a 22-yard touchdown.
