Why this game is special: This is the nation's 12th oldest high school football rivalry. The teams first played in 1893. This is the most important game these teams will play all season. Vineland and Millville will be judged in large part on how they play today. Vineland leads the series 63-55-19. The Fighting Clan has won three straight, including 32-20 last year.

Vineland update: The Fighting Clan beat Deptford 14-6 on Nov. 14. But Vineland will be without five players who were involved in an on-field fight.

Fighting Clan quarterback Darrius Flowers has improved as the season has progressed with four rushing touchdowns, a touchdown pass and more than 900 yards of offense.

Millville update: The Thunderbolts have dropped three of their last four games. Still, Millville has its most wins since 2005 when it finished 6-4. Running back Rashad Johnson and wide receiver Khalil Wallace are key players for the Thunderbolts.
